Immersion Lure is my fourth album as a leader, and presents a collection of new work for jazz quintet featuring Matt Keegan, Matt McMahon, Brett Hirst, and Simon Barker. The music extends upon some musical ideas from my previous 2019 recording The Dark Pattern and continues with my interest in combining the sound palette and texture of the jazz quintet instrumentation with minimalist compositional devices.
